FAQs for Visitors

How should I dress?

We're not fancy! Some wear their "Sunday best" while others come in casual wear. Don't let a dress code keep you from coming to worship God.

How long is service?

Services are planned for 90 minutes of music worship, preaching and prayer time. When the Spirit moves, service sometimes goes a little longer.

Where can I park?

There's plenty of street parking and handicapped parking near the front door. Park along Broadway or on First Street for easy access.

Can I take Communion?

You don't need to be a member of Real Life to join us for Communion. Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can partake.

How do I check my kids in/out of service?

See the Kids Chapel or Nursery staff to learn more about our protocols for ensuring safety and completing a confidential intake form for your child's safety.

Do my children have to go to Kids Church or the nursery?

We'd like to give you an opportunity to worship and meet God in service without distractions + give your child an experience to learn about God at their own level.

Can I attend Children's Church with my kids?

All adults in the Kids Chapel or Nursery pass a background check and are specially trained. Enjoy worship and church service, and we'll let you know if your children need you!

Will I be pressured to become a member?

No pressure here! Let's get acquainted first. As a growing church, we do have new members coming in often, but it's in their own timing and when they initiate it.

Where does the Assemblies of God stand on social issues?

Please click on this link to read the position papers and statements issued by the Assemblies of God. These positions are Bible-based, as is our commitment to loving all people.

Who goes to church at Real Life Assembly in Peculiar?

You'll see a mix of folks here, just like the mix of people in Cass County. People of all ages and all stages of life attend. The kind of people welcome here includes everyone (no exceptions!).

What happens during church services on Sundays?

We open with contemporary and traditional worship music. We invite the Spirit and respond to the Spirit's leading, then we take an offering. Pastor preaches from the Bible, and we pray for each other.

Can I come to Bible Study if I'm not a member?

Sunday school, services, prayer time, and Wednesday Bible Study are open to everyone. Our ministries are available to everyone, too. Membership is required only for those who  serve in certain roles.
